Cycling

The title “Cyclist's Paradise” has long been bestowed upon Kaltern and its surroundings. In fact, it offers a variety of routes unmatched for beginners and experts alike. Through flat vineyards, around the lake, up to the Mendel, or down to Lake Garda, towards Bozen, Meran, or Brixen.
For all who love mountain biking, Kaltern is also a paradise.

The surrounding mountains offer numerous varied trails and tours suitable for both beginners and experienced mountain bikers. From flowy single trails to demanding downhill tracks, everything is there. Particularly rewarding is a tour to the Mendel Pass, from where you have a breathtaking view over the Etschtal valley and the surrounding mountains.

Guided bike tours are also offered in Kaltern, during which you can discover the most beautiful routes and spots in the region. Those without their own bike can easily rent one on site and thus explore nature on two wheels.
